We have been waiting for Summer and now is here. This means that it is time to do some lollies for the kids and why not for the parents as well. For me, ice lolly has to be healthy but with nice flavours and colours! I don’t have kid but my boyfriend was happy to be my kid when I tried to create some recipes. It is a great idea to prepare the lollies with the kids. Of course, don’t forget to tell them that they need to wait 1 day before eating them!
For all the recipes below, you only need to mix all the ingredients in a blender.
Vanilla Strawberry Lolly
Serves 4
- 5 table spoons if vanilla yogurt
- 160 g strawberries
- 2 tea spoons icing sugar
- 1 ml vanilla extract
In my first try, I didn’t put vanilla extract and we couldn’t taste vanilla. I think adding 1 ml of vanilla extract can resolve this matter.
Banana Kiwi Lolly
Seves 4
- 1 big banana
- 1 kiwi
- 5 table spoons lemonade
This one is my favourite one because I could taste both flavours. We can replace lemonade by yogurt to have a smoother lolly.
Rum Pineapple Lolly
Now that we have done the lolly for the kids, let’s create one for Mum and Dad!
- 3 tablespoons crushed pineapple
- 2 tablespoons lemonade
- 5 ml rum
In my opinion we don’t taste rum enough. Don’t believe that I am an alcoholic but rum is the interest of this recipe. I didn’t want to put too much rum when I did the first try as alcohol doesn’t freeze!
Please note that this recipes are tests that I did in my laboratory kitchen. They probably need some adjustments to adapt them to your taste. However, they can give you ideas to create your own lollies. Don’t hesitate to post comments on these recipes.
